In a pandemic state of emergency, some things are difficult. One of them is no longer being able to travel - being cooped up without a change of scenery and the anticipation of islands, sinking into wanderlust within your own four walls. The immersive power of films offers a useful substitute, but the experience on the screen is shallower than when travelling: less holistic, less social, less directly connected to the perceiving self. Wanderlust drive-in cinema wants to be a plaster on this wound. With a series of road movies, it offers an unusual cultural experience that takes place on your doorstep and at the same time provides a view of the world, a social cultural event within the virus-proof walls of your own vehicle.

On 21 August 2021, „Thelma & Louise“ will be shown, on 28 August „25 km/h“, on 3 September „Mad Max - Fury Road“ and on 11 September „Tschick“. Each film starts at 9 pm. Admission is free with the purchase of a drink. The Powerhouse Bar serves drinks and popcorn directly to the car window.
